I have worked in District 201 for 8 years: 7 as a social worker at Morton West and 1 year as MTC Coordinator.  I was inspired to work in special education shortly after college graduation, when I worked as a substitute teacher and basketball coach.  I saw the different ways educators can help students, and I wanted to be part of that.  My favorite part of the MTC is being around such wonderful students and working with a caring and dedicated staff.

Degrees and Certifications

BA in English-Marquette University
MSW-Catholic University (Washington, DC)
General Administrative Endorsement-DePaul University

This is my 2nd year here at Morton High School as a Special Education Teacher. I was inspired to work in special education because I want to help students with disabilities reach their highest potential in life, whether it's attaining higher education after high school or to become independent citizens. My favorite part of the MTC is that we are able to provide services to students that need the extra help to live independently.

Degrees and Certifications

BA in Special Education with an LBS1 Endorsement-University of St. Francis

Jennifer Bozyk

Special Education Teacher

Email: JBozyk@jsmorton.org

I have worked in District 201 for 3 years-2 as a DRS transition specialist and 1 year as a special education teacher at the MTC.  I was inspired to work in special education as I grew up with a sister who has a cognitive impairment, and this taught me firsthand the impact a caring and dedicated teacher can make in a student's life.  My favorite part of the MTC is helping students achieve their highest level of independence possible and seeing the smiles on their faces throughout their accomplishments.

Degrees and Certifications:

BS in Business Administration-Saint Xavier University
MS in Special Education-Purdue University
